The top 2013 IT Trends will surely be based around cloud computing and web related technology. With business becoming more streamlined every year, it seems as if everything is becoming more and more based around the internet. Mobile phones have been around for years now, but with 2013 we will be seeing an increased percentage of businesses moving toward having an online presence that caters to the smart phone generation. Mobile friendly websites are almost required even now, but a large percentage of businesses, especially small businesses, don’t even have an online presence.

  2. We will see an increasing rise of small businesses paying more attention to their online presence. This includes Social Media and mobile compatibility.
  3. Reducing overhead by implementing new, cost-effective technology that reduces costly human interaction

  1. Web-based enterprise level smart phone apps that are strategically designed
  2. Website analytics have always been great for any website, but we are now seeing enterprises use analytics to target even further than thought possible. With all social media platforms consistently removing privacy from its users, we will see more targeted advertising and larger corporations dominating in this area.
  3. Small business take-over. We will see a small business emergence that enterprise level corporations will have a hard time competing with, price wise and service wise. These enterprises will have to refine the way they do business with their clients to stay ahead of the game. This includes from service, to comparison of websites. How simple is it to find something on a small business website versus a corporation? Enough said.
